A wading belt is an absolute necessity, particularly if you wear non-neoprene waders. When you don't have the buoyancy of neoprene to help you float, if your waders fill with water, you will sink. A wading belt helps to keep your waders from filling up with water, thus reducing the liklihood of tragedy on the river. Be safe.
